    Testimonials:
Christina and Katie: Rajasthan and Delhi 2007
  • "Sam was a great guide, he showed us India as if it was his own home.  He encouraged us to see different places and experience new things which we would have never been able to do on our own.  He combined both tourism and the Indian lifestyle into our trip - the fact that he spoke Hindi was a bonus.  Sam has a keen interest in knowing the lifestyle of the places and people he visits. We experienced glimpses of what it would be like to actually live in India. He took us to a village of farmers in Rajasthan, who never had tourist visitors before.  They shared their chai with us and showed us their home and animals.   We saw a side of people's lives we would have never had the opportunity to experience, if not for Sam.

He was also aware of our preferences, budget and time limitations and gave us his insightful opinions as to which options we should explore. For example, we had the option of exploring the outskirts of India near the Pakistani border or to go to the more touristy Agra - he gave us the pros and cons of both areas and we decided go to Agra.  He also prepared us for what to bring with us: the bed sheet and wipes being the most useful.

Because of Sam we have a different perspective on traveling, which we will incorporate into our future traveling adventures!"

  • "Sam met us and we traveled as companions, but his help with locals was much better than a guide we had hired and soon regretted. Sam took charge and the guide we were paying was more of a hindrance than helpful. If it weren't for Sam I don't know if we would have made friends with locals and explored so many different places that he convinced us were worth spending time at. One day we wandered through an old neighborhood and asked an elderly local couple if we could see their house. We ended up inside with a tour of what felt like a museum about the ways of life 100, even 200 years ago!"
