This year Burning Man's "Psyche" theme entailed a carnivalesque appreciation of the bizarre in our mind(s). The Man himself stands atop an interactive maze one may navigate to discover an entrance to his 3nd-floor platform.
The Man at Night: A colorful carnival atomosphere. At 4:30am Rachel, Blaze, and I rode our bikes out to explore the maze and watch sunrise. It was so much fun wandering the maze and seeing a group of night-owls appreciating sunrise from the man's platform as well as all along the desert surface. (see slides #36, 27, 21, 5, and 4, all shot that sunrise morning)
